Casina Bric Ansj Rosso

Accessibly affordable Laghe Nebbiolo

Barolo has made good Nebbiolo harder to find, so this wine from Casina Bric is a great find on so many levels. It comes from a Barolo hamlet and drinks like a fully entitled member of the 'royal' wine family. Its medium dark red in colour and has soft tannins, which make this a great wine to drink with lamb chops, roast lamb, but especially goat! If you can decant it and wait an hour, it rewards with berry fruit - blackberry, hints of blueberry & cherries. There's an almost oriental spice thread that runs behind the fruit, and adds to a delicious lingering finish that the wine delivers.
