The white with more complexity and nuance is the 2021 5V. It's a blend of five varieties, hence the name, but in 2021 the blend is slightly different, with more Garnacha Blanca and Viura; the breakdown is 30% Viura, 30% Garnacha Blanca, 20% Tempranillo Blanco, 10% Malvasía and 10% Torrontés. It has very good ripeness and aromatic complexity but with subtleness and elegance. It has more complexity and somehow feels more open and expressive than any of the other whites. This matured in barrel with the lees and bâtonnage for five months. It has 14% alcohol, a pH of 3.3 and 5.7 grams of acidity (measured in tartaric acid per liter). 4,116 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2022.
Un vino sabroso, de cuerpo medio y con el grado alcohólico notorio. Potente en su ataque posee un paso por boca cremoso y ligeramente cítrico pero de gran amabilidad. Los aromas retronasales son alimonados con notas vegetales de aceituna verde. Post-gusto maravilloso, excitante, opulento, lácteo y con la fruta tropical como protagonista (piña, plátano, lichi, mango...). Al rato apreciamos de nuevo una mineralidad palpable, de gran elegancia. Y de fondo, algún tostadito de su crianza en barricas, maravilloso.

Genau wir erwartet zeigt sich der 5V 2017 noch von der zurückhaltenden Seite ist aber jetzt schon ein Freude - vor allen Dingen wenn man ihn gut belüftet und etwas stehen lässt. Da sind mehr Sterne drin, wenn er reift!

Lovely wine
I think this wine may still be a bit young, but is really nice now - refined and seems very nicely balanced. Guessing that it will improve with some more time, so have just bought another case to test this theory...

Age-worthy white rioja in a burgundy style
This complex and complete wine is made in a very white burgundy still. It is delicious and will be better still with a few years extra age.
